Winter feeding - short video

Adequate amount of calories:
It is no coincidence that our horses are rounding up for the winter, as they need orders of magnitude more calories. It is especially important that you always have really high-quality, dry, fresh hay in front of them. Older horses or horses suffering from dental disease should be closely monitored during this period.

Water intake:
It has been found that one of the main causes of colic (which is still the leading cause of death in horses today) is inadequate water intake in winter. However, ice is “not water”, and although running water can be easily provided in the stable, nowadays we can also provide fresh water in the frost for the horses in the field with various technological solutions.
