Despite the coronavirus, the Farmer Expo in Debrecen will be held between 18-21. of August, which is an outstanding event for us riders, as in addition to the various equestrian programs, there is also an official breeding animal show every year. As the other large Great Plain agricultural exhibition the "Alföldi Állattenyésztési Napok"(Great Plain Animal Husbandry Days) was missed this year, this is truly some compensation for us.
This is an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with the Kisbéri half-blood and other breeds, as it is only possible 1-2 times a year to meet the mostly Hungarian-bred horses all together in one place, so close to us. Although the program of the exhibition and the number of exhibitors had to be slightly modified, which unfortunately also affected the variety shows, there is no need to worry yet, as the event was expanded with new outdoor venues.
There was also good news about the "Bábolnai Gazdanapok" (Bábolna Farmers' Days). It appears in the Hungarian Agriculture magazine that the 33rd "Bábolnai Gazdanapok" will be held between 10-12. of September. In the spring this event still seemed to be cancelled.
